Rare Old School Stratton Aero 80s BMX Airway/Zytec metal hub mag wheels Shimano

  

Restored Stratton Aero BMX believed to be from 1984, ridden once since completed. The original frame, forks and bars were stripped and then clear powder coated which gives a really distinctive natural metallic look with a bronze-ish colour from the raw metal underneath, looks great! Mega rare Aero Airway metal hub mag wheels. New Duro comp 3 style gumwall tyres.

Original Ulmer gold/black brake calipers and levers. Original chainring powdered black with the original spider & chain. Original stem, seat clamp and post. NOS 80s Brevettato seat with'BMX' on the back. 80s'dotty' Oakley copy grips by Brevettato, like originals. My theory on these is they were not allowed to call them "Airways" for long due to the similarity with another mag wheel brand, they're better known as Zytecs! Everything is in excellent condition, but note. Front wheel is a bit off true, doesn't affect ride. Seat post wouldn't fit after powdering so the bottom of it has been stripped of the powder then lightly sprayed black.
