Ammaco Freestyle BMX 1987 Survivor chrome With Twin Fork Pegs Rare Bike. Condition is "Used" as photo. The rear kick piece was a special feature on only 1987 models as shown on BMX Museum and other forums. Not many old schoole bmx freestyle bikes at this price especially out of the mongoose stable and a rare model at that.
But it's a unique piece of BMX history. Made at a time when Mountain bikes were making their first appearance and BMX as a sport was dwindling as a result. Ammaco (founded by Malcom Jarvis) were the UK importer / distributor of mongoose bicycles in the UK.After the success of this relationship with mongoose (and Skip Hess) Ammaco began to manufacture their own bikes and also built a "mongoose badged" budget bike built by Ammaco under license/agreement from mongoose/Skip Hess. It's loosely based on the gusset goose frame but the welds are inferior and the geometry is quite different. Please advise me if not in UK and I will give you a price.
