1981 Lejeune Old School BMX. If you've got this far, you'll probably know what you're. This is an oldschool dream and these are getting harder to find! Stop now if you're looking for a show winning bike (it might win the unusual class buts that's about it).

This bike is in a lightly restored condition and everything works as it should...... But this isn't a bike that you'll be wanting to ride/show off down your local pump track, it's more of a collectors item and something of a discussion point and being so unusual/rare, it turns heads! I bought this bike 5 or 6 years ago from a bike collector in France but it had been sat outside for many years unloved and going rusty.... Thus I have done a light restoration.

Originally, I was under the impression (and told) it was a Stratton BMX 2020 from 1981, but after doing a load of research, it seems that the Stratton had very lightly different forks and chainring... And I was stumped, however, super sleuth work found loads of references to the same frame being used (and made) in France by Lejeune using the same forks on the bike as now - thus that's the conclusion and why it is restored to that brand.

Frame, forks & bars stripped prepped and repainted. Custom Decal Kit (as close to the original as possible) designed and fitted. Original Wheels acid bathed and lightly polished with original tyres and tubes that amazingly hold air! Original Unbroken Chain, Bottom bracket, Chainring Crank and pedals. Acid bathed and lightly polished.

Original Grips - cleaned and bleached back to colour. Original Rear Weinmann 1020 Brake Caliper Lever and cable - but with new blocks.

Replacement period Selle Royal saddle and new replacement seatpost clamp. Original stem but a replacement headset. I'm not an official on these bikes - I just like them and ride them...

Potentially I can deliver this item.... I'm up and down all. But you need to message me first to let me know. See my 100% feedback on over 3400+ items. Happy to send more pics or close ups or for anyone to come. Advertised on some specialist social media groups and some other websites, but if it sells elsewhere I'll take this down. Bikes over the last 10 years and have had my fingers burnt more than once!! Someone had the audacity to return one with some excuse that. And a load of hassle...

Luckily I did my super sleuth investigation and was able. To shame them on their facebook profile - they bought the bike, showed it off. At a ride-out and then decided to return it! I always list as I see it and include loads of photo's - I'm.
