Vtg Old School 1981 Mongoose Motomag BMX Race 20 Bike. This is a 1981 survivor mongoose motomag basically like i found it. It has basically all its original mongoose hardware original to the bike.

The seat is an old troxel seat that was on it when i found it. Other than the seat this survivor is original down to its core. Condition is as you would expect, has all the imperfections of an original bike this age.

Patina, scrapes/paint ware and chips. The decals and dealer stickers are all original and aged.

The stem looks like the youngster swiped a little gold paint on it about 40 yesrs ago. Cranks, stem, handle bars, grips all its original hardware. The motomags are in pretty darn good shape, they have a bazzillion layers of paint on them and the current yellow looks really good actually, but up to the new owner if they strip back to the metal or repaint.

I see only one little web crack (pictured) and they spin nice. I put new tires on it as the ones it had when i got it where dry rotted from being ancient and would not hold air.

I put new zip ties on the plate as well. Even the number plate decals are mongoose. I did re-grease the brackets throughout if i rember right, wiped it down some and basically hung it on display for years swearing id never sell it. The bike has no signs of cracks or repairs. I double checked the key hole and its fine, no cracks but has some crimping. Enjoy all the photos, and ask questions if needed, plenty more pics upon requests.
